Venue and Bookings Manager

We’re looking for an organised, detail orientated individual to supervise our vintage themed event venue. You’ll be overseeing all customer bookings, co-ordinating team members and suppliers and ensuring the venue is stocked and equipped to deliver our many event services.

We are a unique, vintage themed venue at the Custard Factory in Digbeth offering makeovers, photo shoots, party packages, a 50s diner milkshake bar and shopping experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the venue to include:

Sourcing and co-ordinating freelancers and suppliers
Event preparation and management
Customer service and bookings processes
Managing stock and inventory
Sourcing supplies
Managing budget
Supporting team with service delivery in diner/events/shop (covering leave/sickness)
Ensuring the venue meets all food handling, hygiene and health and safety standards
Up keeping the highest standards of customer satisfaction and delivery of our customer journey
Cash handling / payments processing
Keeping records
Cleaning, tidying venue
Working to support the wider team with any other reasonable tasks

You’ll be:
Highly organised
Have a great attention to detail
Able to effectively manage multiple systems and records at once
Be conscientious and understand fully the responsibilities of hygiene and health and safety
A self starter with a positive attitude and problem solving approach
Able to be flexible with hours on occasion to meet the needs of a busy event business
Experiences with spreadsheets and CRM/similar software or able to quickly learn
An excellent communicator, both as a leader and customer service advisor
Experience supervising in a catering or event environment is preferable

This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave (12-15 months, to be confirmed on appointment)

This position is 20-30 hours per week based in our venue across Tuesdays to Saturdays. Occasional Sundays may be required, as well as attendance to events outside our venue.

A full driving license and access to a car is essential for this position.

Self Employed Hairdresser

We’re seeking self employed Hairdressers / Stylists to join our busy and unique salon. You’ll be able to run your own column for a combination of our clients and your own.

Profit split or chair rentals available. Choose to provide your own stock, or use ours (Olaplex, Sexy Hair, Schwartzkopf, Crazy Colour, PPE and more).

Free training in vintage finishes available. Friendly and warm team.

Our salon is vintage themed (cuts and colours are general so you don’t need vintage hair experience) and part of a wider venue offering makeovers, photo shoots, 50s milkshake bar, parties, beauty and a shopping emporium. You won’t be bored here!

The clients your receive from us (optional) will be creative colours / cuts.

Commission opportunities available.
